Workplace Literacy and Numeracy

By focusing on the specific needs of ngā uri o Ngāti Awa, we aim to provide educational and career-building opportunities that resonate deeply within our iwi, hapū and communities. Through ongoing dialogue, we’re ensuring that any gaps in literacy, numeracy and digital skills are addressed with programs that are practical, culturally relevant and impactful. Our collaboration with NZALI allows us to co-create learning pathways that equip our people with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in both traditional and modern contexts.

In the past, the partnership delivered four workshops to support the implementation of the workforce development framework and enhance teamwork as well as cohesion. Six sessions supported the development of soft skills such as communication, teamwork, self-management. We also delivered three full-day wānanga for participants to complete Level 2 digital literacy and numeracy programs.

Heoi, these initiatives aren’t just about upskilling – they’re about fostering long-term growth, leadership and resilience within our communities. Therefore, we are thrilled to announce that the following programs are being implemented:

·         CRM System Administration L4 micro-credential

·         Digital Literacy L2 micro-credential

·         Governance Essentials Program
