Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Awa (TRONA) is the mandated governance and representative entity that manages the collective affairs of 22 hapū of Ngāti Awa in accordance with Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Awa Act 2005, the Ngāti Awa Claims Settlement Act 2005, and the Ngāti Awa Charter (2018).
The IT Manager plays a vital role in ensuring Ngāti Awa IT systems enable our organizations to meet their goals and support their transformation ambitions.
The IT Manager oversees existing IT systems to ensure minimum downtime and maximum availability to staff and governors. They engage with senior management and direct the adoption of new IT systems and technologies to improve the organization’s operations and performance.
Te Rongoā | About You
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Professional certification
- 5-10 years of proven and applicable IT experience including an IT leadership role
- Management and leadership experience
- Demonstrable broad technical of IT, including cyber security, network, server, software. Integration, and cloud technologies
- Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions
- Understanding of Māori Data Sovereignty
- Understanding of te reo me onā tikanga
Ōu Mahi | Duties
- Manage, maintain, and develop essential and secure IT infrastructure, including operating systems, cybersecurity tools, applications, servers, data backup, email systems, communication platforms, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
- Deliver rapid and efficient IT support services to all Ngāti Awa Group staff and governors
- Manage, maintain, develop, and enhance digital document management, provenance and data sovereignty, storage, security, and accessibility
- Work collaboratively alongside Executive Office and SLT
